Last Christmas… A Moodys Tax Christmas Poem

Inspired by the original version by Wham

Last Christmas, I gave you my tax issues
But the very next day you threw them away
This year, to save me from tears
I’ll give them to Moodys Tax firm (someone special)

Last Christmas, I gave you my tax plans
But the very next day you gave them away
This year, to save me from tears
I’ll give them to Moodys Tax firm (someone special)

Once bitten by CRA or IRS, twice shy
Moodys Tax,
you still catch my eye
Tell me, Moodys
Do you recognize me?
It’s been a taxing year
and it doesn’t energize me
(Merry Christmas!) I wrapped it up and sent it
With a note saying, “Solve my tax issues,” I meant it
Now, I know I was foolish for not using Moodys Tax before
But if you solved my problems now
I know I’d feel good about tax once more

Last Christmas, I gave you my tax issues
But the very next day you threw them away
This year, to save me from tears
I’ll give them to Moodys Tax firm (someone special)

Last Christmas, I gave you my tax plans
But the very next day you gave them away
This year, to save me from tears
I’ll give them to Moodys Tax firm (someone special)

A complex tax file, with so many considerations
I want to hide from tax, and all its frustrations
My god, I need to bring this to Moodys Tax
See, with Moodys I can finally relax

So many tax rules I didn’t know where to start
Getting the wrong answers nearly tore me apart
Now, I’ve found Moodys Tax and I’ll never be fooled again

Last Christmas, I gave you my tax issues
But the very next day you threw them away
This year, to save me from tears
I’ll give them to Moodys Tax firm (someone special)

Last Christmas, I gave you my tax plans
But the very next day you gave them away
This year, to save me from tears
I’ll give them to Moodys Tax firm (someone special)

So many tax rules I didn’t know where to start
Getting the wrong answers nearly tore me apart
Maybe next year I’ll go to someone special
I’ll go to Moodys Tax firm.
